How to Know the Fake Capacity of Multi Function Jump Starter

Recently, the multi function jump starter is super popular during these years. AGA , as the inventor of multi function jump starter , has a responsibility to give some product information for the consumers to know more about the product!

Today, I would like to tell you a fake capacity problem in current jump starters. So that you will not be cheated!

Let's do it now!

First of all, I will let you know, there are 2 kinds of lithium battery jump starter in the market. One is Li-PO battery, another is LiFe battery. Most of the multi function of jump starter we see in the market is Li-PO.

The standard voltage of Li-PO is 3.7V, the standard voltage of Li-PO is 3.2V.

For a example:

Multi function jump starter

Capacity: 12000mAh ( true capacity)

Input: 12V/1A

The 12000mAh of Li-PO jump starter is : 1.2 Ah*3.7V=44.4Wh.

Full charging time is: 44.4Wh/12V*1A > 3.7h.

You know the power will lose when charging, not 100% power transfer's rate.

Let's See the Fake Capacity One

This is a jump starter I found online.The capacity of this jump starter is 68800mAh mentioned-above.

So 68800mAh ( 68.80Ah*3.7V=254.56Wh) is 354.56Wh,if the 68800mAh capacity is true.

So the full charging time should be over 21.2 hours. (254.56Wh/12V*1A>21.21h)

But according to the description of full charging time is just 3-4 hours. Then you will know, this is a very serious fake capacity!!
